UV Gel & Acrylic
Acrylic (also known as 'liquid and powder') is the classic nail extension system and is in highest demand by customers. The effect is created by mixing small balls of acrylic and powder on a brush and applying it to the nail and extension tip. The technician then pushes it into shape with the brush, before filing and polishing to a high gloss finish.
UV Gels are a newer innovation in the world of professional nail enhancements. Gel comes in a small jar and is about the consistancy of honey. It's applied to the nail and extension tip with a small brush, and is 'self levelling' making it easier to apply than Acrylics. Gel nails are cured under an ultra violet (UV) light and are odour free, hardwearing and beautiful to look at.
